Ride Em’ Cowboy
Colorado Saddlery produces a renowned saddle. To this day, they create their saddles they same way as they did in 1900. The process takes about a week. Talk about hand crafted! They even made a custom, 18 inch saddle for John Wayne.
Before Colorado Saddlery occupied this building, its inhabitant was Michael J. O’Fallon Plumbing Supply Company. Today, plumbing is an often overlooked luxury, that is until something goes wrong with it. In the early 1900’s there were still tons of houses that didn’t have running hot water yet! So it is understandable why plumbing was a pretty big deal in those days. There was even a Plumbers Trade Journal, where the plumbing companies kept up with plumbing business, and even kept track of where the plumbers were. These plumbers sure cared about each other’s whereabouts… In a 1908 issue, we find out that Mr. and Mrs. O’Fallon were quite the travelers.
